Deacon
Nominations
Deacons are called to facilitate the ministry of the church. They exercise delegated authority and responsibility, as designated by the pastors.
Appointing a man to the office of deacon involves a collaborative effort between the candidate, the pastors, and the members of the church. Our constitutional documents allow our members 14 days from the day of nomination to provide the Pastoral Team written feedback regarding their nominations.
To be clear, this is not to propagate gossip and slander. Rather, it allows opportunity to stop the process if there is information the pastors lack in evaluating the nominated individual. Additionally, affirmations help confirm the selection of the candidate.
This feedback is an important opportunity for the congregation to assist in the ordination process. Please fill out the form below including your name, your email, and feedback regarding each nominated individual. If you have questions about diaconate ministry, view our constitutional document.
